INITIALLY CREATED FOR SENIORS OF JAPANESE DESCENT TO HELP EACH OTHER BUT INCREASINGLY FOR THE PEOPLE OF VARIOUS ETHNIC BACKGROUNS. JAPANESE COMMUNITY PIONEER CENTER PROVIDES SOCIAL SERVICE PROGRAMS, EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS, AND CULTURAL CLASSES IN DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES'S LITTLE TOKYO AREA.
