TO ENHANCE AND IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS OF ALL AGES, BY PROVIDING AN ARRAY OF MENTAL/BEHAVIORAL HEALTH, EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIAL SERVICES.VISTA HILL'S STEIN EDUCATION CENTERS (SEC) IS COMPRISED OF THREE DISTINCT SERVICES FOR CHILDREN, TEENS AND ADULTS WITH INTELLECTUAL & DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES: SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAM CAMPUS, ADULT SERVICES AND SPECIAL CARE SERVICES. SPECIAL EDUCATION STUDENTS REFERRED BY SCHOOL DISTRICTS ARE PROVIDED INDIVIDUALIZED LEARNING & BEHAVIORAL INTERVENTION PLANS CARRIED OUT BY A TEAM OF TEACHERS, OT & SPEECH THERAPISTS AND FUNCTIONAL AIDES. ADULT SERVICES PROVIDES DAY PROGRAMS FOCUSING ON LIFE & SELF-CARE SKILLS, VOCATIONAL TRAINING & SOCIAL SKILLS FOR INDIVIDUALS, MANY HAVING BEHAVIORAL CHALLENGES. SPECIAL CARE SERVICES OFFER STRUCTURED GROUP ACTIVITIES, SPORTS, EQUESTRIAN & OUTINGS FOR INDIVIDUALS UNABLE TO BE SERVED IN TRADITIONAL COMMUNITY RECREATION PROGRAMS. VISTA HILLS LEARNING ASSISTANCE CENTER (LAC) SPECIALIZES IN THE PROVISION OF SCHOOL-BASED MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES THROUGH TWO MAJOR SERVICES. UNDER CONTRACT WITH THE COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO LAC CLINICIANS, REHAB SPECIALISTS & PSYCHIATRISTS WORK WITH STUDENTS (MEDI-CAL) AT SCHOOL OR HOME TO ADDRESS MENTAL HEALTH CONDITIONS ARE TREATED IN A SCHOOL-BASED MODEL. TYPICALLY WITHIN MONTHS OF TREATMENT USING MEASUREMENT INSTRUMENTS, STUDENTS SHOW SYMPTOM REDUCTION, IMPROVED CLASSROOM BEHAVIORS, AND AVERAGE INCREASE OF GPA & INCREASED SCHOOL ATTENDANCE.
VISTA HILL'S PARENTCARE FAMILY RECOVERY CENTERS PROVIDE OUTPATIENT ALCOHOL & DRUG TREATMENT FOR PREGNANT OR PARENTING WOMEN. COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES INCLUDE INDIVIDUAL & GROUP THERAPY, CASE MANAGEMENT, PSYCHIATRY, NUTRITION & HEALTH EDUCATION, VOCATIONAL TRAINING, AND LICENSED CHILD CARE & PARENT SKILL TRAINING. WOMEN ENTERING AND COMPLETING TREATMENT HAVE IMPROVED MEASURES, INCREASED INVOLVEMENT IN WORK AND SCHOOL AS WELL AS HOME STABILITY.
SOBER LIVING APARTMENTS - THE SOBER LIVING APARTMENTS PROVIDE LOW COST HOUSING TO AT-RISK FAMILIES UNDERGOING TREATMENT THROUGH PARENTCARE.JUVENILE COURT CLINIC - THE JUVENILE COURT CLINIC PROVIDES TRANSITIONAL STABILIZATION AND LINKAGE SERVICES TO YOUTH INVOLVED WITH AND REFERRED DIRECTLY THROUGH THE JUVENILE COURTS, PROBATION AND THE CHILD WELFARE SERVICES CARE UNIT.SMART CARE INTEGRATED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH (SMART CARE) - SMART CARE PARTNERS WITH COMMUNITY HEALTH CLINICS LOCATED IN RAMONA, JULIAN, PAUMA VALLEY AND CAMPO. DISTRICTS CONTRACT WITH VISTA HILL TO PROVIDE THESE REQUIRED SCHOOL BASED HEALTH SERVICES TO THEIR STUDENTS.THE GPS ASSESSMENT SERVICE PROGRAM WAS DEVELOPED TO PROVIDE SCHOOLS AN EFFICIENT, PROFESSIONAL AND INDEPENDENT WAY TO ASSESS THE MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS OF STUDENTS AND PROVIDE RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING SERVICES AND APPROACHES THAT WOULD BEST ADDRESS BEHAVIOR AND EMOTIONAL ISSUES THAT IMPACT LEARNING.
