THE NAPA CITY FIREFIGHTERS ASSOCIATION WAS CREATED IN 1960 TO PROMOTE CHARITABLE, EDUCATIONAL, RECREATIONAL, AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES WITH THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND COMMUNITY. IT WAS ALSO FORMED AS A MEANS TO PROVIDE A FELLOWSHIP TO ELEVATE THE MORAL, SOCIAL, AND INTELLECTUAL CONDITIONS OF MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION, IN ORDER TO CULTIVATE A CLOSER FEELING OF FRIENDSHIP AND GOODWILL AMONG ITS MEMBERS, AND TO ENCOURAGE A HIGHER UNDERSTANDING OF THEIR CALLING AS FIREFIGHTERS. THE ORGANIZATION SPONSORS MANY FUNDRAISERS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, WITH THE TWO MAJOR FUNDRAISERS BEING AN ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT AND A CORN BOOTH AT THE NAPA COUNTY FAIR.
