YOUTH DEVELOPMENT STATE LEADERSHIP MEETING IS HELD EACH APRIL FOR MEMBERS AND OFFICERS OF THE ORGANIZATION. AT STATE MEETING ALL STATE BUSINESS IS HANDLED LEADERSHIP AND CAREER WORKSHOPS AND EXPERIENCES ARE OFFERED AND STUDENTS DEMONSTRATE CAREER SKILLS LEARNED IN LOCAL CLASSROOMS. EXPENSES INCURRED INCLUDE ALL SUPPLIES PRINTING SPEAKERS WORKSHOPS PRESENTERS BANQUET AND LODGING. THERE ARE APPROXIMATELY 800 STUDENTS AND ADVISORS IN ATTENDANCE. THIS YEAR THE EVENT WAS DONE VIRTUALLY DUE TO COVID-19 AND THE STATES RESTRICTIONS.
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT GRANT PROGRAM INCLUDES AN ALLOCATION TO LOCAL CALIFORNIA FCCLA CHAPTERS TO FACILITATE AND ENCOURAGE INCREASED MEMBERSHIP AND PARTICIPATION IN CALIFORNIA FCCLA LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND CAREER TRAINING.
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT REGIONAL OFFICER TRAINING CONFERENCE IS HELD IN THE SUMMER FOR NEW REGIONAL AND STATE OFFICERS. EXPENSES INCLUDE SUPPLIES MEALS TRAVEL LODGING AND SPEAKERS.
