THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE YOUTH AN EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE BY PARTICIPATING IN LIVESTOCK PROJECTS. THE YOUTH ARE INVOLVED IN RAISING AND CARING FOR THEIR INDIVIDUAL ANIMALS, AND PARTICIPATING IN RECORD KEEPING. THEY LEARN GROOMING, ANIMAL FEEDS AND NUTRITION, AND SHOWMANSHIP SKILLS. THE YOUTH SPEND AN AVERAGE OF FOUR MONTHS RAISING THE ANIMALS AND PREPARING FOR THE ANNUAL JUNIOR LIVESTOCK SHOW.
