CHRONIC ILLNESS RECOVERY EXISTS TO PROMOTE AND SUPPORT RECOVERY FROM CHRONIC ILLNESS THROUGH PHYSICIAN SERVICES, PATIENT COUNSELING, INFORMATIONAL MATERIALS, SEMINARS, RESEARCH AND PARTICIPATION IN PUBLIC HEALTH POLICY DESIGN.

CHRONIC ILLNESS RECOVERY HAS CONTINUED OUR MISSION OF PROVIDING INFORMATION ABOUT THE SCIENCE OF INFLAMMATION THERAPY AND VITAMIN D RESEARCH. SINCE THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC THERE HAVE BEEN FEWER IN-PERSON CONFERENCES HELD BUT WE WERE ABLE TO ATTEND ONE CONFERENCE TO EXTEND OUR OUTREACH. THE 16TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON EUROPEAN IMMUNOLOGY, HELD IN ZURICH IN APRIL, 2022, WAS ATTENDED BY OVER 100 RESEARCHERS AND CLINICIANS. OUR PRESENTATION ON VITAMIN D AND INFLAMMATION: THE INFECTION CONNECTION WAS WELL RECEIVED AND RESULTED IN MEANINGFUL PROFESSIONAL CONTACTS.


DURING 2022, CHRONIC ILLNESS RECOVERY CONTINUED TO ADVISE PATIENTS ENROLLED IN OUR COUNSELING PROGRAM WHICH SERVES AS AN ADJUNCT TO THE CARE PROVIDED BY THEIR PHYSICIANS. OUR SERVICE PROVIDES INFORMATION AND SUPPORT BETWEEN VISITS WITH THEIR MEDICAL PROVIDER. IT INCLUDES IDENTIFYING AND MANAGING SYMPTOMS, LEARNING ABOUT SYMPTOMS SELF-ASSESSMENT, COPING WITH STRESSORS RELATED TO CHRONIC ILLNESS, ORGANIZING AND MANAGING MEDICATION, AND ASSESSING THEIR PROGRESS ON INFLAMMATION THERAPY. WE COMMUNICATE WITH THE PRESCRIBING PHYSICIAN WHEN NECESSARY AND OFFER EDUCATIONAL SCIENTIFIC REFERENCES. WE ALSO OFFER A FREE CONSULTATION AND COMMUNICATE BY EMAIL OR PHONE WITH PEOPLE WORLDWIDE WHO ARE INTERESTED IN OUR SERVICES.
