THE MISSION OF LOVED TWICE IS TO CLOTHE NEWBORNS IN NEED WITH QUALITY REUSED BABY CLOTHING FOR THE FIRST YEAR OF LIFE. FOR US, EVEN ONE BABY GOING WITHOUT PROPER CLOTHING IS ONE TOO MANY. WE BELIEVE COMMUNITY STARTS WITH SERVING OUR MOST VULNERABLE MEMBERS.SINCE 2005, LOVED TWICE HAS PROVIDED 32,575 NEWBORNS A FULL YEARS WORTH OF BABY CLOTHES, HELPING VULNERABLE FAMILIES MEET THEIR BASIC NEEDS WHILE KEEPING OVER 325,750 POUNDS OF CLOTHING OUT OF LANDFILLS. THIS INCLUDES 2,443,125 ESSENTIAL GARMENTS RECYCLED INTO UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES WITH AN ESTIMATED RETAIL VALUE OF $8,550,937.
DESPITE THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC, LOVED TWICE HAD ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL YEAR CLOTHING NEWBORNS-IN-NEED. IN 2021, DONORS OF BABY CLOTHES CLEANED OUT THEIR CLOSETS TO SUPPORT OUR MISSION. SINCE THE MAJORITY OF OUR PUBLIC COLLECTION BINS WERE CLOSED, WE HAD VOLUNTEERS SIGN UP TO COLLECT CLOTHES ON THEIR FRONT PORCHES, THESE GARMENTS WERE LOVINGLY PACKAGED USING SOCIAL DISTANCING TO PROVIDE 2,953 BABIES A FULL YEAR OF CLOTHING. TOTALING 221,475 ESSENTIAL GARMENTS RECYCLED INTO UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES WITH AN ESTIMATED RETAIL VALUE OF $775,162. THATS OVER 29,530 POUNDS OF INFANT CLOTHES!
