THE MISSION OF MONUMENT IMPACT IS TO ENSURE THAT IMMIGRANTS, REFUGEES AND LOW-INCOME RESIDENTS IN CONCORD AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES HAVE THE VOICE, TOOLS AND RELATIONSHIPS FOR AN EQUITABLE SHARE OF THE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC WEALTH IN OUR REGION.

RELIEF AND RECOVERY FUND - IN 2020 THE EMERGENCY RELIEF & RECOVERY FUND WAS ESTABLISHED TO RESPOND TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND ITS IMPACT ON LOW-INCOME IMMIGRANTS AND THEIR FAMILIES EXPERIENCING JOB LOSS. IN 2021.MI DISTRIBUTED A TOTAL OF $636,850 IN RENTAL ASSISTANCE AND DIRECT AID TO 528 PEOPLE, IMPACTING A TOTAL OF 1,271 FAMILY MEMBERS.IN ADDIITON, MI HELPED 1,035 COMMMUNITY MEMBERS IN CONTRA COSTA COUNTY TO ENROLL IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIAS EMERGENCY RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMS HELP LOCAL RESIDENTS BUILD THEIR LEADERSHIP CAPACITY FOR ENGAGING ON KEY ISSUES SUCH AS IMMIGRANT RIGHTS AND HOUSING JUSTICE THAT IMPACT THEIR FAMILIES AND FOR IMPROVING THE COMMUNITY. IN SPITE OF COVID LIMITING IN-PERSON PROGRAMMING, OUR PROGRAM ENGAGED OVER 2.700 RESIDENTS IN THE IMMIGRANT COMMUNITY THROUGH TENANTS LEGAL CLINICS, COMMUNITY ORGANIZING, HOUSING JUSTICE FORUMS, AND TENANTS RIGHTS RESOURCES. SOCIAL MEDIA REACHED OVER 53,000 PEOPLE.
WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS FOCUS ON TECHNOLOGY SKILLS, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, ESL, CONNECTING COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, AND SUPPORTING EMERGING BUSINESSES. WE OFFERED WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES TO 378 PEOPLE. 39 PEOPLE WERE ENROLLED IN FARSI-LANUGAGE TECHNOLOGY CLASSES. WE HELPED 6 NEW BUSINESSES GET LICENSED AND PROVIDED $20,000 IN CAPITAL GRANTS AND LICENSING FEES TO IMMIGRANT BUSINESS OWWERS SERVED BY OUR EMERGING BUSINESS PROGRAM. ALTHOUGH IMPACTED BY COVID-19S IMPACT ON JOBS, MI WAS ABLE TO SERVE 54 DAY LABOR MEMBERS, FACILITATING 10,350 DAILY JOB PLACEMENTS.
