OPERATION OF A PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL: NORTH OAKLAND COMMUNITY CHARTER SCHOOL (NOCCS) OPENED ITS DOORS IN 2000 AND HAS PROUDLY SERVED THE OAKLAND COMMUNITY FOR 20 YEARS AND HAS EVOLVED AS AN ORGANIZATION OVER THIS TIME. THE DIVERSITY OF STUDENT BODY THAT NOCCS SERVES IN ITS CURRENT ITERATION IS A TRUE ASSET IN THIS WORK AND UNDERSCORES THE CORE PRINCIPLES UPON WHICH THE SCHOOL WAS FOUNDED.
