WE WORK TO PROMOTE RACIAL JUSTICE WITHIN THE OUTDOOR AND ENVIRONMENTAL MOVEMENT. OUR SYSTEMS CHANGE APPROACH INCLUDES GRANTMAKING, ANTI-RACISM TRAINING, CAREER PATHWAY DEVELOPMENT, AND CAPACITY BUILDING.

OEI: OUR FRESNO COHORT CONTINUED AFTER ITS LAUNCH IN 2020 AND WE GRADUATED 39 OUTDOOR EDUCATORS ACROSS THREE COHORTS: OAKLAND/SAN FRANCISCO, SOUTH BAY, AND FRESNO.
TRAINING & SUPPORT: IN 2021 WE SUPPORTED 43 CLIENT ORGANIZATIONS ACROSS THE COUNTRY WITH EQUITY, JUSTICE AND INCLUSION TRAINING AND SUPPORT SERVICES VIA ONLINE PLATFORMS AND SOME IN-PERSON ENGAGEMENTS IN THE SAN FRANCISCO AND BAY AREA OF CALIFORNIA.
RLF: THE RISING LEADERS FELLOWSHIP OFFERED VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING IN 2021 TO MAINTAIN THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF ALL PARTICIPANTS. FOR THE FIRST TIME, PARTICIPANTS ENGAGED IN A PARTICIPATORY GRANTMAKING PROCESS FOCUSED ON INNOVATIVE AND EQUITABLE REGRANTING PRACTICES. IN 2021, A TOTAL OF 21 FELLOWS COMPLETED THE PROGRAM.
