MARITIME CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER - THE CENTER OPENED IN 1943 TO CARE FOR THE CHILDREN WHOSE PARENTS WORKED AT THE NEARBY KAISER SHIPYARDS. THE ORGANIZATION COMPLETELY RESTORED AND REOPENED IT AS A MULTI-USE BUILDING IN 2011 (A RICHMOND REVITALIZATION EFFORT). TODAY THE MARITIME HOUSES A SMALL EXHIBIT BY THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE OF A WARTIME PRESCHOOL CLASSROOM, THE ORGANIZATION'S OFFICE AND RICHMOND CHARTER PREP PRESCHOOL AND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. IN 1999, THE ORGANIZATION WAS CREATED TO HELP ESTABLISH THE ROSIE THE RIVETER/WORLD WAR II HOME FRONT NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK IN 2000 WITH THE GOAL TO PRESERVE PARK SITES ACROSS RICHMOND INCLUDING THE OPENING OF THE PARK VISITOR EDUCATION CENTER LOCATED IN THE OIL HOUSE OF THE FORD BUILDING COMPLEX.
ROSIE THE RIVETER TRUST SEEKS GRANTS TO SUPPORT HISTORIC PRESERVATION OF NATIONAL PARK SITES, THE SHARING OF HOME FRONT STORIES THAT INCLUDE THE LEGACY OF ROSIE THE RIVETERS AND YOUTH PROGRAMMING AIMED AT INSPIRING STUDENTS TO BE LEADERS AND SUPPORT COMMUNITY WELLBEING.

OTHER PROJECTS LIKE THE BETTY SOSKIN FILM PROJECT UTILIZE DOCUMENTARIES TO PASS ON THE HISTORY IN A PERSONAL AND POWERFUL WAY IN A FORMAT AVAILABLE FOR DISTRIBUTION TO CLASSROOMS AND TELEVISIONS ACROSS THE COUNTRY.
ROSIE'S SERVICE CORPS - THE ORGANIZATION USES "ROSIE" HISTORY TO COMMUNICATE AND EXEMPLIFY COLLABORATION AND THE VALUE OF STRENGTH FOUND IN SERVING OTHERS. THE PROGRAM'S FOCUS ON CAREER PREPAREDNESS EDUCATING STUDENTS ON CAREER OPPORTUNITIES, GOAL SETTING, FINANCIAL LITERACY AMONG OTHER SKILLS.
