THE MISSION OF THE SVVFD IS TO FORM A TRAINED VOLUNTEER FIRE FIGHTING UNIT TO SERVE THE FIRST RESPONDER EMERGENCY NEEDS OF THE CALAVERAS, FELTER, AND SIERRA COMMUNITIES OF SANTA CLARA COUNTY. FIRST RESPONDER EMERGENCY SERVICES INCLUDE PROVIDING RAPID FIRST ATTACK AT FIRE SITES AND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE FOR LOCAL EMERGENCIES AND VEHICULAR ACCIDENTS. ALSO PROVIDES FIRE SAFETY EDUCATION AND DISASTER PREPARATION TO ALL RESIDENTS OF THE COMMUNITY.
