AFTER BEING CLOSED FOR 18 MONTHS, KIDZONE REOPENED IN SEPT OF 2021. THIS WAS A HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT THAT REQUIRED DEDICATION FROM OUR BOARD AND STAFF. THEY SPENT MANY HOURS RESEARCHING RECOMMENDATIONS AND BEST PRACTICES FOR THIS POST-COVID WORLD, CREATING ENTIRELY NEW POLICIES REGARDING CLEANING, VACCINATION STATUS, HANDLING QUESTIONS/ANGRY CUSTOMERS, RETROACTIVE MEMBERSHIPS, SANITIZING.... THE LIST GOES ON - OUR FIRST PRIORITY ALWAYS BEING THE SAFETY OF STAFF AND FAMILIES. WE HAVE NOW BEEN OPEN SUCCESSFULLY FOR 10 MONTHS AND ARE AGAIN PROVIDING PLAY, LEARNING AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS. OUR KIDSREACH PROGRAM WAS ALSO ABLE TO CONTINUE ITS OUTREACH EFFORTS TO FAMILIES THROUGH THE PANDEMIC WITH THE AT HOME KITS AND LIVE INTERACTIVE CLASSES & STORYTIMES. WE WERE ABLE TO CONTINUE TO CONNECT WITH THE KIDS AND THEIR PARENTS AND MAINTAIN THESE RELATIONSHIPS AND TRUST AND BEGIN OFFERING ON SITE OUTREACH WITH SOME PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS AND BY RESTARTING THE KIDSREACH SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM FOR KIDS TO HAVE ACCESS TO KIDZONE MUSEUM FREE OF COST.
