TO STUDY PROBLEMS IN THE HEALTHCARE PROVIDER AREA AND PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND RESOURCES TO INDIVIDUALS AND INSTITUTIONAL REPRESENTATIVES IN THE AREAS OF HEALTHCARE, ADMINISTRATION, FINANCE AND SERVICE.

IN SEPTEMBER 2020, THE ORGANIZATION ESTABLISHED THE "HEALTH CARE RELIEF FUND" TO PROVIDE DISASTER RELIEF ASSISTANCE TO EMPLOYEES OF HOSPITAL AND HEALTH CARE SYSTEMS IN OREGON. DURING THE YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2020, THE ORGANIZATION COLLECTED DONOR RESTRICTED FUNDS HELD FOR THE BENEFIT OF SUCH EMPLOYEES WHO WERE ADVERSELY IMPACTED BY WILDFIRES. THE FUND HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED TO SUPPORT THE VICTIMS OF THIS DISASTER WHO BECAME VICTIMS OF THESE FIRES OR FUTURE STATE OR FEDERALLY DECLARED DISASTERS. FUNDS WERE DISTRIBUTED TO GRANT RECIPIENTS DURING THE YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31,2021.


PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS TO INDIVIDUALS AND INSTITUTIONAL REPRESENTATIVES IN THE AREAS OF HEALTHCARE, ADMINISTRATION, FINANCE AND SERVICE. THIS INCLUDES ESTABLISHING RURAL HOSPITAL POST-ACUTE TRANSITIONAL CARE PROGRAMS, ESTABLISHING VIRTUAL CLINICS IN RURAL COMMUNITIES, AND PROVIDING TRAINING FOR RURAL HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS IN ORDER TO INCREASE THE UNDERSTANDING OF POPULATION HEALTH STRATEGIES AND SUPPORTING COMMUNITY EDUCATION TO ADDRESS VACCINE HESITANCY.


THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTED AN AFTER-ACTION STUDY TO ASSESS THE ASSOCIATION'S RESPONSE TO COVID-19, WILDFIRES, AND WIDESPREAD VACCINATION ROLLOUT. THE STUDY REVIEWED PROCESSES AND ESTABLISHED BEST PRACTICES FOR RESPONDING TO FUTURE PUBLIC SAFETY EVENTS. THE REPORT INCLUDED INFORMATION GATHERED FROM REGIONAL CONVERSATIONS WITH HOSPITALS.
