VALLEYCARE CHARITABLE FOUNDATION (VCCF) IS AN INDEPENDENT, NONPROFIT 501(C)(3) CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO THE HEALTH AND BETTERMENT OF THE TRI-VALLEY THROUGH OUR ONGOING FUNDING OF OUR COMMUNITY HOSPITAL, STANFORD HEALTH CARE-VALLEYCARE (SHC-VC) AND ITS INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS. VALLEYCARE CHARITABLE FOUNDATION RAISES FUNDS AND THEN GRANTS THESE FUNDS TO STANFORD HEALTH CARE - VALLEYCARE FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING STATE-OF-THE-ART HEALTH CARE TO THE PATIENTS AND THE COMMUNITY. GRANTS ARE DESIGNATED TO A WIDE-RANGE OF PROGRAMS AND SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE HOSPITAL, SUCH AS FUNDING FOR STATE-OF-THE-ART EQUIPMENT AND TECHNOLOGIES, PROGRAMS THAT IMPROVE PATIENT OUTCOMES, AND SERVICES THAT IMPROVE THE HEALTH OF THE TRI-VALLEY COMMUNITY.
ON JUNE 28, 2021, THE HOSPITAL COMMITTEE OF THE LIVERMORE-PLEASANTON AREAS DOING BUSINESS AS STANFORD HEALTH CARE-VALLEYCARE (SHC-VC) ENTERED INTO A MERGER AGREEMENT WITH VALLEYCARE CHARITABLE FOUNDATION (VCCF). SHC-VC IS THE OWNER AND OPERATOR OF A GENERAL ACUTE CARE HOSPITAL, AND VCCF'S PURPOSE WAS TO SOLICIT, RECEIVE, AND MAINTAIN GIFTS FOR THE HOSPITAL. UNDER THE MERGER AGREEMENT, VCCF WOULD BE MERGED WITH AND INTO SHC-VC. THE MERGER OF VCCF AND SHC-VC WAS CONSUMMATED AND BECAME EFFECTIVE ON JULY 12, 2021 UPON THE FILING OF THE MERGER AGREEMENT WITH THE SECRETARY OF STATE OF CALIFORNIA, LEAVING SHC-VC AS THE SOLE SURVIVING CORPORATION.
