THE CROWDEN SCHOOL IS AN INDEPENDENT DAY SCHOOL DEDICATED TO THE BALANCE OF MUSIC AND ACADEMIC EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN IN GRADES THREE THROUGH EIGHT, FOCUSING ON STRING INSTRUMENTS, PIANO, AND COMPOSITION. THE PROGRAM SERVES APPROXIMATELY 42 STUDENTS. THE ACADEMIC PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO HELP STUDENTS ACHIEVE INTELLECTUAL AND EMOTIONAL MATURITY THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF ANALYTICAL AND CRITICAL THINKING. THE MUSIC PROGRAM INCLUDES TECHNIQUE CLASSES, MUSIC COACHING IN SMALL AND LARGE ENSEMBLES, AND MUSIC HISTORY AND THEORY. CURRICULA AND SCHOOL LIFE ARE ENRICHED BY PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD.
CROWDEN PROVIDES THE HIGHEST QUALITY MUSIC EDUCATION TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC THROUGH ITS COMMUNITY EDUCATION OFFERINGS. MORE THAN 1,400 COMMUNITY STUDENTS OF ALL AGES AND SKILL LEVELS PARTICIPATE IN CROWDEN'S AFTERSCHOOL, WEEKEND, AND SUMMER MUSIC LESSONS, CLASSES, AND ENSEMBLES.
