THE MISSION OF SAN BENITO HEALTH FOUNDATION IS TO PROVIDE QUALITY, AFFORDABLE COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY OF SAN BENITO COUNTY AND SURROUNDING AREAS IN A MANNER THAT IS ACCOUNTABLE TO THE COMMUNITY WHILE BEING RESPECTFUL, EMPATHETIC, AND CULTURALLY-SENSITIVE TO CLIENTS. ITS VISION IS FOR SAFE AND HEALTHY SAN BENITO COUNTY WHERE HEALTH DISPARATIES DO NOT EXIST, PEOPLE HAVE ACCESS TO CARE, AND HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS TO MAKE HEALTHY CHOICES. PROVIDED MEDICAL,OPHTHALMOLOGY, PREVENTIVE MEDICINE, INTERNAL MEDICINE, OBSTETRICS & GYNECOLOGY, FAMILY PLANNING, PEDIATRICS, IMMUNIZATION & HEALTH SCREENING SERVICES, NUTRITION COUNSELING, HIV/AIDS TESTING & COUNSELING, DENTAL, WOMEN, INFANT AND CHILDREN (WIC) SERVICES TO QUALIFYING FAMILIES OF SAN BENITO COUNTY AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES. TOTAL PATIENT ENCOUNTERS WERE AS FOLLOWS: MEDICAL - 13,354, DENTAL - 3,802, VISION - 3,285, PATIENT EDUCATION - 2. SBHF HAS REMAINED FLEXIBLE AND RESPONSIVE TO THE COMMUNITY DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. STAFF WERE REDEPLOYED TO PROVIDE SERVICES VIA PATIENT CENTERED TELEHEALTH COMMUNICATIONS, IT'S IMMUNIZATION SUPPLY WAS INCREASED TO ENSURE PROTECTION OF THE COMMUNITY, AND SBHF WORKED TO TEACH PATIENTS HOW TO COMMUNICATE IN CASE OF A SHELTER IN PLACE ORDER.
