ADULT TRAINING PROGRAM (ATP) THE ADULT TRAINING PROGRAM (ATP) ASSISTS INDIVIDUALS WITH SEVERE DISABILITIES IN DEVELOPMENT RESULTING FROM MENTAL IMPAIRMENTS, CEREBRAL PALSY, SEIZURE DISORDERS, AUTISM, OR OTHER NEUROLOGICAL IMPAIRMENTS. ATP PROVIDES CLIENTS WITH AN INDIVIDUALIZED PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES FOR EXPERIENCING ACTIVITIES OF DAILY LIFE. THE ADULT TRAINING PROGRAM IS A SITE-BASED, PERSONAL GOAL-ORIENTED PROGRAM OF DEVELOPMENTAL AND THERAPEUTIC SERVICES DESIGNED TO DEVELOP, MAINTAIN OR INCREASE AN INDIVIDUAL'S INDEPENDENT FUNCTIONING IN SELF-CARE, PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL GROWTH, SOCIALIZATION, COMMUNICATION, EDUCATIONAL, PREVOCATIONAL SKILLS AND COMMUNITY INTEGRATION.
SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM (SE) CLIENTS RECEIVE REAL PAY FOR REAL WORK WHILE RECEIVING SUPPORT THROUGH COUNSELING AND THE EVALUATION OF SKILLS AND ABILITIES. INDIVIDUALS ARE ENCOURAGED TO EXPLORE THEIR TALENTS, DEVELOP NEW SKILLS, AND LEARN GOOD WORK HABITS. JOBS ARE CONTRACTED WITH BUSINESSES IN OUR COMMUNITY FOR CLIENTS TO WORK. UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A YES JOB COACH, GROUPS OF CLIENTS TAKE ON JOBS IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY.
INDIVIDUAL PLACEMENT IS DESIGNED TO GRADUALLY (OVER A 3 MONTH PERIOD) BUILD UP THE CLIENT/WORKER'S INDEPENDENCE SO THAT THEY CAN WORK ON THEIR OWN IN THAT POSITION THEREAFTER. ONCE A JOB IS FOUND AND CLIENTS ARE HIRED, WE OFFER JOB COACHING SERVICES (TO MOST QUALIFIED CLIENTS) TO SUPPORT THEM IN THEIR TRANSITION INTO THE WORKFORCE.
YES TO EMPLOYMENT FIRST: STARTED IN 2018, THIS PROGRAM HELPS CLIENTS TO ACHIEVE THEIR ULTIMATE GOAL OF COMPETITIVE INTEGRATED EMPLOYMENT BY ASSISITNG THEM WITH RESUME WRITING, MOCK INTERVIEWS, ONLINE JOB SEARCH, SETTING UP VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITES AND PAID INTERNSHIPS THAT WILL MIRROR CLIENT INTERESTS IN A STAFF RATIO OF 1:2.
