THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF SACRAMENTO, INC. (JLS) IS AN ORGANIZATION OF WOMEN COMMITTED TO PROMOTING VOLUNTARISM, DEVELOPING THE POTENTIAL OF WOMEN AND IMPROVING COMMUNITIES THROUGH THE EFFECTIVE ACTION AND LEADERSHIP OF TRAINED VOLUNTEERS. ITS PURPOSE IS EXCLUSIVELY EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE. THE JLS WELCOMES ALL WOMEN WHO VALUE OUR MISSION.

THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF SACRAMENTO PROVIDES LEADERSHIP TRAINING THROUGH PRACTICAL APPLICATION BY PARTICIPATION IN RUNNING THE ORGANIZATION WITH FORMAL TRAINING PROGRAMS. THESE PROGRAMS COVER TOPICS INCLUDING ORGANIZATION DEVELOPMENT, BUSINESS MANAGEMENT, DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION, MANAGEMENT.


THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF SACRAMENTO ENGAGES CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN THE SACRAMENTO AREA COMMUNITY. THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF SACRAMENTO HOSTS THE EVENT TOUCH A TRUCK, AN EVENT FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES TO EXPLORE BIG TRUCKS AND MACHINES, TURN ON LIGHTS AND SIRENS, AND MEET THE PEOPLE WHO OPERATE IT RESOURCES AND BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH PARTNERS.


THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF SACRAMENTO EMPOWERS WOMEN TO BE CONFIDENT LEADERS THROUGH PROGRAMMING CENTERED IN SELF-ESTEEM, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, AND EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT THROUGH OUR WOMEN EMPOWERED TO RISE PROGRAM. THIS IS A COLLEGE LEVEL CREDIT BEARING WOMENS LEADERSHIP PROGRAM OFFERED IN COLLABORATION BETWEEN JUNIOR LEAGUE OF SACRAMENTO AND THE UNIVERSITY OF THE PACIFIC'S BENERD COLLEGE. STUDENTS LEARN AND APPLY THE FUNCTIONS RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATIONSHIPS OF STUDENTS COMPLETE THE PROGRAM EQUIPPED WITH LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND PRINCIPLES FOR MANAGING A BETTER, FAIRER MORE EQUITABLE WORLD AS WELL AS A NETWORK OF LIKE MINDED WOMEN LEADERS.
