THE WORLD AFFAIRS COUNCIL OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA ENGAGES THE PUBLIC IN THE EXPLORATION OF ISSUES AND OPPORTUNITIES THAT TRANSCEND BORDERS.WITH OVER 100 PROGRAMS PER YEAR, IT CONVENES THOUGHT LEADERS, CHANGE MAKERS AND ENGAGES CITIZENS TO SHARE IDEAS, LEARN FROM EACH OTHER AND ENGAGE IN CONVERSATIONS THAT MATTER. FOUNDED IN 1947 WORLD AFFAIRS REMAINS ONE OF THE MOST VIBRANT GLOBAL AFFAIRS ORGANIZATIONS ON THE WEST COAST. PROGRAMS INCLUDE: GLOBAL POLICY FORUM; THE EDUCATION PROGRAM SERVING STUDENTS AND EDUCATORS, THE AWARDS DINNER, A WEEKLY RADIO PROGRAM AIRING ON NPR STATIONS, PODCASTS AND MULTI-MEDIA OFFERINGS ON THE ORGANIZATION'S WEBSITE.
