THE ORGANIZATION'S ACTIVITIES WILL INVOLVE THE TRAINING AND INSTRUCTION TO INDIVIDUALS IN THE TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF BROADBAND INSTALLATION AND SERVICE. THIS WILL INVOLVE BOTH CLASSROOM AND ON-THE-LINE AND IN THE FIELD INSTRUCTION. THIS INSTRUCTION WILL BE PROVIDED BY EXPERIENCE LINEMEN AND RELATED TRADES PEOPLE, RETAINED ON A CONTRACT BASIS, ALL WITH THE GOAL OF ENABLING THE STUDENT PARTICIPANTS TO RECEIVE FULL CERTIFICATION IN THIS HIGHLY TECHNICAL FIELD. CLASSROOM SPACE WILL BE RENTED AS NECESSARY. BY PROVIDING THIS TRAINING AND INSTRUCTION, THE ORGANIZATION SEEKS TO BOTH IMPROVE THE SKILL LEVEL AND EARNINGS POTENTIAL OF THE STUDENT PARTICIPANTS AND ALSO INCREASE THE SUPPLY OF CERTIFIED LINEMEN, OF WHICH THERE IS CURRENTLY A SEVERE SHORTAGE, INHIBITING THE NATIONWIDE ROLLOUT OF BROADBAND.
