FOHP'S PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE FOR THE STEWARDSHIP AND RESTORATION OF HENDRICKS PARK AND EDUCATION OF THE COMMUNITY SURROUNDING THE PARK.

FOREST RESTORATION IS UNDERWAY IN THE OAK KNOLL AREA WITH PAID AND VOLUNTEER GROUPS. NORTHWEST YOUTH CORPS, UNIVERSITY OF OREGON STUDENTS AND WALAMA RESTORATION TEAMS JOIN WITH FOHP VOLUNTEERS TO CLEAR INVASIVE SPECIES AND REPLACE WITH NATIVE SEEDS AND PLANTS.


THE NATIVE PLANT AND RHODODENDRON GARDENS CONTINUE TO THRIVE WITH THE HELP OF WEEKLY VOLUNTEER WORK PARTIES AND THE EFFORTS OF THE DEDICATED NATIVE PLANT GARDENER. TOURS AND LECTURES REMAIN VERY POPULAR AND STUDENTS ARE NOW ACCESSING THE VENUE.


THE FRIENDS OF HENDRICKS PARK NEWSLETTER IS PUBLISHED TWICE YEARLY AND CONTINUES TO INFORM AND EDUCATE OVER 1,300 NEIGHBORS OF THE PARK. MEMBERSHIP IS OPTIONAL AND SUPPORTED BY DUES.
