MAGDALENE HOME IS A RESIDENT PROGRAM SPECIALIZING IN ASSISTING TEENAGE GIRLS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 14 AND 17 WHO ARE EITHER PREGNANT OR PARENTING. THE AGENCY PROVIDES THEM WITH A SAFE NURTURING ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH TO LEARN THE SKILLS OF BEING A PARENT. THE AGENCY PROVIDES EACH MOTHER WITH A HOME IN THE FORM OF FOOD, SHELTER, SUPERVISION, AND GUIDANCE WHILE PREPARING FOR OR CARING FOR A NEWBORN CHILD. MANY OF THESE TEENAGERS COME FROM DISADVANTAGED HOMES OR ABUSIVE SITUATIONS. OUR AGENCY PROVIDES EACH OF THESE YOUNG ADULTS WITH AN ALTERNATIVE TO HAVING AN ABORTION.

IN THE YEAR 2021, MAGDALENE HOME HOUSED 16 MOTHERS AND 17 BABIES FOR A TOTAL OF 1,331 NIGHTS. ALL THE MOTHERS PROGRESSED IN THEIR SCHOOLING, LEARNED SKILLS IN FOOD PLANNING AND PREPARATION, AS WELL AS NUTRITION, PARENTING, BUDGETING, JOB SEARCH, AND IN ACHIEVING SELF-SUFFICIENCY.
