THESE VOICES RESOUND FROM THE HEARTS AND MINDS OF OUR YOUTH, WHO HOLD THE KEYS TO A JUST, FAIR AND SUSTAINABLE FUTURE. OUR MISSION IS GUIDED BY 3 VALUES WHICH ARE ACCESS, INCLUSION, AND OPPORTUNITY.

WE OPERATE A K-5 CHARTER SCHOOL IN WASHINGTON COUNTY, OREGON THAT SERVES 248 STUDENTS. WE EMPLOY 25 EDUCATIONAL STAFF. OUR CURRICULUM IS GROUNDED IN THE CORE KNOWLEDGE SEQUENCE, AND EMPHASIZES LEARNING STATE LEARNING. AS OF 2020-21, OUR AT-A-GLANCE SCHOOL PROFLE SHOWED 74% OF OUR STUDENTS ABOVE BENCHMARK IN ELA, 66% ABOVE BENCHMARK IN MATH, AND 53% ABOVE BENCHMARK IN SCIENCE. IN EACH SUBJECT, OUR STUDENTS EXCEED THE OREGON STATE AVERGAGE BY 44%, 36%, AND 31% RESPECTIVELY.
OUR SCHOOL EMPLOYS A FULL TIME SCHOOL COUNSELOR THEOUGH THE STUDENT INVESTMENT ACCOUNT GRANT. THEY HAVE IMPLEMENTED A SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING PROGRAM THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL AND CONNECT OUR FAMILIES IN NEED WITH CLOTHING, FOOD, HOLIDAY GIFT, AND FINANCIAL RESOURCES.
MITCH STAFF AND STUDENTS PARTNER WITH LOCAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS LIKE NEIGHBORS NOURISHING COMMUNITIES TO SUPPLY PLANTS AND SEEDS FOR LOCAL GARDENERS. NNC MEMBERS, OUR SCHOOL'S FAMILIES, AND STUDENTS GROW THESE PLANTS IN OUR SCHOOL, GARDER TO RAISE PRODUCE FOR THE LOCAL FOOD PANTRY. IN PARTNERSHIP WITH NNC, WE HAVE DONATED OVER 10,000 POUNDS OF PRODUCE TO THE LOCAL FOOD BANK. THIS PROGRAM TEACHES OUR STUDENTS THE VALUE OF SERVICE AND FEEDING COMMUNITY.
