STREET ROOTS CREATES INCOME OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS AND POVERTY BY PRODUCING A NEWSPAPER AND OTHER MEDIA THAT ARE CATALYSTS FOR INDIVIDUAL AND SOCIAL CHANGE. WE WORKED WITH 800 LOW-INCOME AND UNHOUSED INDIVIDUALS AND PRINTED OUR NEWSPAPER EVERY SINGLE WEEK. WE ALSO SECURED THE FUNDING AND PURCHASED OUR NEW HEAQUARTERS FACILITY IN OLD TOWN, PORTLAND, AND CONTINUED RAISING THE FUNDS NEEDED TO RENOVATE THE BUILDING.
