THE MISSION OF PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL CHORAL FESTIVALS (PICFEST) IS TO PROVIDE THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF CHORAL MUSIC TRAINING AND PERFORMING EXPERIENCE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AS A MEANS TO DEVELOP THE WHOLE PERSON. WE ACHIEVE THIS THROUIGH PROGRAMMING THAT CHALLENGES PARTICIPANTS OF ALL LEVELS OF SKILL AND DEVELOPMENT; CREATING AN ATMOSPHERE OF GENEROSITY AND RESPECT THAT HONORS EVERYONE'S CONTRIBUTIONS; PROVIDING A NONCOMPETITIVE FORMAT; AMD HAVING A PROVEN TRACK RECORD WHICH DEMONSTRATES THAT YOUNG PEOPLE MAKING BEAUTIFUL MUSIC CAN MAKE YOUNG PEOPLE BEAUTIFUL.

CREATION, PROMOTION AND EXECUTION OF PICFEST'S 25TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON CULMINATED IN THE LIFT EVERY VOICE FESIVAL, FEATURING AN HONOR CHOIR OF MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FROM 12 LANE COUNTY SCHOOLS, AN ALUMNI CHORUS OF SINGERS FROM THROUGHOUT OREGON AND THREE OTHER STATES, AND MUSICIANS/DIRECTORS FROM OREGON, MINNESOTA, AND THE UK. THE FOCUS OF THE FESTIVAL WEEK INCLUDED REHEARSALS, WORKSHOPS, COMMUNITY BUIILDING, AND PERFORMANCES IN PREPARATION FOR THE WORLD PREMIERE, A MULTII-MOVEMENT WORK TITLED LIGHTWAVES, A PROJECT OF THE PICFEST COMMISSIONS PROJECT.
