BOARD OF DIRECTORS ANNOUNCED THAT IT HAD DECIDED NOT TO HOLD A PORTLAND MARATHON OR HALF MARATHON IN 2018, AND TO BEGIN THE PROCESS OF DISSOLVING THE CORPORATION. THIS DIFFICULT DECISION WAS REACHED AFTER CAREFUL CONSIDERATION OF INPUT FROM THE ORGANIZATION'S MANY STAKEHOLDERS AND DETERMINING WHAT THE ORGANIZATION BELIEVES IS BEST FOR THE RUNNING COMMUNITY AND THE CITY OF PORTLAND. DURING 2019 AND 2020, THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUED THE PROCESS TOWARD DISSOLUTION.
