WESTERN STATES CENTER'S MISSION IS TO WORK WITH COMMUNITIES AND ORGANIZATIONS TO BUILD MOVEMENTS, DEVELOP LEADERS, SHIFT CULTURE, AND DEFEND DEMOCRACY THROUGH A PRISM OF RACE, GENDER, JUSTICE, AND EQUITY.

MOMENTUM - EQUIPPING INDIVIDUALS AND INSTITUTIONS TO BE RESILIENT IN THE FACE OF ORGANIZED BIGOTRY, MOMENTUM IS A LEADING VOICE ON COUNTERING WHITE NATIONALISM IN AMERICA. MOMENTUM PARTNERS WITH THOSE AT THE STATE, LOCAL, AND MUNICIPAL LEVELS WHO SHARE OUR COMMITMENT TO SHRINKING SPACE FOR HATE, CREATING NEW TOOLS AND INNOVATIVE METHODS DESIGNED IN CONCERT WITH EACH COMMUNITY WE MEET. MOMENTUM BELIEVES THAT WHITE NATIONALISM CAN BE DISMANTLED THROUGH BROAD, COURAGEOUS, AND VALUES-BASED COALITIONS.
OTHER PROGRAMS INCLUDE GENERAL PROGRAMS, GENDER JUSTICE, RACIAL EQUITY, CULTURE LAB, TRIBAL SOVEREIGNTY, AND OREGON RECOVERS.
COMMON GOOD - THE COMMON GOOD PROGRAM WORKS TO BUILD AWARENESS OF THE THREAT ANTISEMITISM POSES TO AMERICAN DEMOCRACY. WE WORK WITH CIVIC LEADERS, ARTISTS, CREATIVES, PHILANTHROPISTS, STUDENTS, AND FAITH AND COMMUNITY LEADERS TO DEVELOP THE LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND INSIGHTS NEEDED TO BUILD BROAD-BASED, DEMOCRACY-MINDED COALITIONS, ESPECIALLY ACROSS RACIAL, RELIGIOUS, AND ETHNIC DIFFERENCE, TO NEUTRALIZE THE ONGOING THREAT OF ANTISEMITIC IDEOLOGIES TO ALL AMERICANS.
