RMHC OF MARSHFIELD IS DEDICATED TO EASING THE BURDEN OF FAMILIES WHOSE LIVES HAVE BEEN DISRUPTED AS A RESULT OF THEIR CHILDRENS ILLNESS OR INJURY. RMHC OF MARSHFIELD OPERATES A HOUSE PROVIDING TEMPORARY LODGING TO FAMILIES OF SERIOUSLY ILL CHILDREN WHILE THOSE CHILDREN ARE PATIENTS AT MARSHFIELD CLINIC AND/OR MARSHFIELD CHILDRENS HOSPITAL.

RMHC OF MARSHFIELD IS DEDICATED TO EASING THE BURDEN OF FAMILIES WHOSE LIVES HAVE BEEN DISRUPTED AS A RESULT OF THEIR CHILDREN'S ILLNESS OR INJURY. RMHC OF MARSHFIELD OPERATES A HOUSE PROVIDING TEMPORARY LODGING TO FAMILIES OF SERIOUSLY ILL CHILDREN WHILE THOSE CHILDREN ARE PATIENTS AT MARSHFIELD CLINIC AND/OR MARSHFIELD CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL. THE CORNERSTONE PROGRAM OF RMHC IS THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE. THE HOUSE PROVIDED A "HOME AWAY FROM HOME" FOR 127 NEW FAMILIES AND 14 RETURNING FAMILIES FOR A TOTAL OF 141 FAMILIES IN 2021. THESE FAMILIES USED THE HOUSE FOR A TOTAL OF 180 VISITS WITH AN AVERAGE LENGTH STAY OF 8.8 NIGHTS. THE HOUSE IS STAFFED 24/7/365 BY FULLY TRAINED AND PAID STAFF. VOLUNTEERS ASSIST DAILY WITH MEALS, OFFICE ASSISTANCE, LIGHT HOUSEKEEPING, AND OTHER DUTIES. GUESTS ARE INVITED TO STAY AT OUR HOUSE AT NO COST TO FAMILIES, WHICH REMOVES A MAJOR BARRIER FOR THOSE WHO MAY NOT BE ABLE TO AFFORD ALTERNATIVE ACCOMMODATIONS. MONETARY AND IN-KIND SUPPORT IS CRITICAL TO THE CHARITY'S MISSION OF KEEPING FAMILIES CLOSE TO THEIR SICK CHILD.
