FEDERAL HEAD START PROGRAM - A FEDERALLY FUNDED PROGRAM THAT PROMOTES SCHOOL READINESS BY ENHANCING THE SOCIAL AND COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT OF LOW-INCOME CHILDREN THROUGH THE PROVISION OF COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH, EDUCATIONAL, NUTRITIONAL, SOCIAL AND OTHER SERVICES, AND PARENT INVOLVEMENT IN ALL ASPECTS OF THE PROGRAM.
STATE OF OREGON PRE-KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM PROVIDES HEAD START SERVICES FOR ADDITIONAL CHILDREN THROUGH THE OREGON DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION. PROVIDING THE SAME EDUCATION, HEALTH, FAMILY, AND SPECIAL SERVICES AS THE FEDERAL HEAD START PROGRAM.
