BE A STRONG FOUNDATION FOR THE COMMUNITY AND ITS BUSINESSES WHILE PROMOTING THE NATURAL BEAUTY OF THE AREA FOR POTENTIAL VISITORS.

THE YEAR 2023 WAS THE FIRST FULL YEAR OF OPERATIONS FOR THE VAN BUREN AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. DURING THIS YEAR THE CHAMBER PARTNERED WITH THE VAN BUREN R-1 SCHOOL DISTRICT AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM TO HOST A CAREER FAIR FOR GRADES 7 - 12. THIS IS THE FIRST CAREER FAIR OF ITS KIND FOR THE SCHOOL. THE EVENT WAS A SUCCESS WITH OVER 20 VENDORS SPANNING MULTIPLE CAREER OPTIONS IN ATTENDANCE. THE STUDENT ATTENDANCE WAS OVER 150.
WE COMPLETED A MARKETING EFFORT DURING 2023. THIS INCLUDED CREATING TOURISM BROCHURES FOR OUR AREA BUSINESSES. WE ALSO COMPLETED A PUBLIC RELATIONS CAMPAIGN MID-MAY TO ENCOURAGE VISITORS TO OUR AREA. SOME OF THIS EXPENSE ALSO INCLUDES THE CREATION OF OUR WEBSITE WWW.SEEVANBURENMO.COM
