MANAGEMENT OF FOUNDATION ART COLLECTION: FEES PAID FOR ART ACQUISITIONS, AS WELL AS STORAGE AND INSURANCE ON THE ART COLLECTION, WHICH WAS DONATED TO THE FOUNDATION AND IS MAINTAINED FOR USE IN BOROUGH LIBRARY FACILITIES. PIECES FROM THE COLLECTION ARE ON DISPLAY AT THE NOEL WIEN LIBRARY. OTHER PIECES HAVE BEEN SELECTED FOR THE NORTH POLE LIBRARY.


COMMUNITY OUTREACH: THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS COMMUNITY OUTREACH EFFORTS IN BOROUGH LIBRARIES BY PROVIDING FUNDING GRANTS FOR READING INCENTIVE PROGRAMS, INCLUDING THE CABIN FEVER PROGRAM, A SUMMER READING PROGRAM FOR ADULTS, AND RAVEN ABOUT READING, WHICH OFFERS A SPECIALLY DESIGNED LIBRARY CARD FOR 1ST AND 2ND GRADERS. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED SUPPLIES AND FURNISHINGS TO BOROUGH LIBRARIES,AND HOSTS AND STAFFS AN ANNUAL BOOTH AT THE TANANA VALLEY STATE FAIR.
