TO PROTECT LIFE, PROPERTY, AND ENVIRONMENT BY PROVIDING FIRE PROTECTION AND EMERGENCY SERVICES WITHIN THE DISTRICT WE SERVE.

FIRE SUPPRESSION: SOUTHERN TRINITY VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT (STVFD) JOINS FORCES WITH US FOREST SERVICE, CALFIRE AND OTHER FIRE DEPARTMENTS TO ASSIST IN FIRE PROTECTION/SUPPRESSION ACTIVITIES. APPROXIMATELY 5,889 HOURS WERE EXPENDED IN THIS ENDEAVOR IN 2023.


FIRE PROTECTION: STVFD ANSWERS ALL EMERGENCY CALLS. THIS INCLUDES CALLS FOR STRUCTURE FIRES, VEGETATION FIRES, MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENTS AND ASSISTANCE FOR ALL MEDICAL CALLS. THE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED TO APPROXIMATELY 44 INCIDENTS. THE DEPARTMENT'S FIREFIGHTERS ALSO COMPLETED 1,458 HOURS OF TRAINING.


COMMUNITY EDUCATION: STVFD SPENDS AN UNKNOWN NUMBER OF HOURS EACH YEAR IN RELAYING INFORMATION ON FIRE SAFETY AND FIRE PREVENTION BY PASSING OUT FLIERS AND BROCHURES AT FUNDRAISING EVENTS AND THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA. THE DEPARTMENT ALSO HAS KNOWLEDGEABLE VOLUNTEERS AVAILABLE AT SCHOOL FUNCTIONS, BOARD MEETINGS, ANNUAL MEMBERS MEETING AND MANY COMMUNITY EVENTS.
