ANNUALLY DONATIONS ARE MADE TO THIS ENDOWMENT FUND, PRIMARILY FROM ROTARY CLUB MEMBERS. HOWEVER, PERIODICALLY MAJOR FUND DRIVES ARE MADE TO ADD TO THE ENDOWMENT WHICH RESULTS IN HIGHER DONATIONS DURING THOSE YEARS. THE SHERWOOD TRUST, A PRIVATE FOUNDATION, HAS MADE MATCHING GRANTS TO ENCOURAGE DONATIONS. THESE LARGE DONATIONS TIP THE CALCULATION OF PUBLIC SUPPORT TO LESS THAN THE 33-1/3% THAT IS REQUIRED. THE ROTARY CLUB BOARD MEMBERS, WHICH ALSO GOVERN THE DON SHERWOOD ENDOWMENT CHARITABLE TRUST, IS VOTED ON BY OVER 200 ROTARY MEMBERS, THUS BROADLY REPRESENTING THE COMMUNITY AND GENERAL PUBLIC.
