IN SUPPORT OF BADR ETHIOPIA WE CONTINUED OUR FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN FOR THE CONTINUED CONSTRUCTION OF THE GRAND ETHIOPIAN RENAISSANCE DAM (GERD). THE HYDROELECTRIC POWER DAM WILL PROVIDE ELECTRICITY AND GREATER WATER MANAGEMENT ONCE COMPLETED.
DARUL HIJIRA QURAN SCHOOL IS HELD SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS TO TEACH CHILDREN 5 THROUGH 17 ABOUT THE QURAN. OVER 116 CHILDREN AND YOUTH ARE TAUGHT AND FED.
COMMUNITY EVENTS ARE HELD OFTEN THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, GENERALLY ON SATURDAYS BUT ON OTHER DAYS AS WELL, DURING WHICH ATTENDEES ARE FED AND ARE ABLE TO STRENGTHEN FRIENDSHIPS AND COMMUNITY TIES. INVITIATION TO ATTEND ARE EXTENDED OUTSIDE THE OTRGANIZATIION AND OVER THE COURSE OF THE YEAR NEARLY 700 MEMBERS AND NONMEMBERS ARE SERVED.
WHEN ANY MEMBERS LOSE A LOVED ON BUT ARE UNABLE TO FULLY PAY FOR FUNERAL SERVICE, WE PROVIDE AID SO THAT A MENAINGFUL SERVICE MAY BE HELD.
