THE DRC OF YAKIMA AND KITTITAS COUNTIES IS PART OF AN ASSOC. OF 21 DRC'S IN WA STATE. WE PROVIDE SERVICES AND TRAINING FOR PEOPLE TO RESOLVE DISPUTES PEACEFULLY WITH A GOAL OF BUILDING STRONG, COMPASSIONATE AND PEACEFUL FAMILIES, BUSINESSES AND COMMUNITIES.

WALK ABOUT YAKIMA (WAY) PROGRAM IS A PILOT PROGRAM AIMED AT REDUCING GANG- RELATED GUN VIOLENCE IN YAKIMA COUNTY, BY PROVIDING DIRECT INTERVENTION TO INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE MOST VULNERABLE TO BEING KILLED OR INCARCERATED DUE TO GUN VIOLENCE AND GANG ACTIVITY. WAY RELIES ON A UNIQUE, EVIDENCE-BASED, COMMUNITY-CENTERED MODEL THAT PROVIDES AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE CURRENT CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM.


WE HELP ORDINARY PEOPLE FIND THEIR OWN SOLUTIONS THAT RESULT IN PEACEFUL OUTCOMES. WE PROVIDE A VIABLE OPTION TO LITIGATION WHICH SAVES THE COURT SYSTEM SIGNIFICANT TIME AND COSTS. WE ALSO PROVIDE TRAINING AND CONFLICT MANAGEMENT.
