COVID ADAPTATION: DUE THE PANDEMIC AND THE RELATED POLICIES PUT IN PLACE BY WASHINGTON STATE AT VARIOUS TIMES DURING THE YEAR, WE WERE REQUIRED TO EITHER DOWNSIZE OUR IN-PERSON GATHERINGS OR PIVOT TO ONLINE GATHERINGS. WE HELD ONE LARGE-SCALE EVENT THAT WAS LIVE ONLINE AND INCLUDED BREAKOUT ROOMS; WE HELD ONE ONLINE EVENT OF APPROXIMATELY 100; AND WE ALSO HELD NUMEROUS WEEKLY SMALL GROUP GATHERINGS OF UP TO 30 PEOPLE PER GROUP. WE ALSO MET IN PERSON IN CENTRAL OREGON FOR AN IN-PERSON GATHERING OF APPROXIMATELY 200 PEOPLE (WEARING MASKS WHEN INDOORS AND OUTDOORS IF CLOSER THAN 6 FEET AND ISOLATING ANYONE WHO REPORTED FEELING ILL (AND IN SOME CASES SENDING HOME EARLY EVEN WHEN COVID TESTS WERE NEGATIVE). WE ALSO HELD IN-PERSON GATHERINGS FOR SMALL GROUPS OUTDOORS.RUSSIA: IN THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2021, THROUGH JUNE 30, 2022, THERE WAS LESS ACTIVITY THAN PREVIOUS YEARS DUE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC AND CONTINUED LARGE-SCALE GLOBAL SHUTDOWNS. IN THE LAST QUARTERS, AN ASSOCIATE TRAVELED TO EUROPE TO TEACH KEY PRINCIPLES OF JESUS (LOVING GOD, LOVING OTHERS, SERVING, ETC.) TO YOUNG ADULTS. IN ADDITION, REGULAR ZOOM MEETINGS WERE HELD TO ENCOURAGE YOUNG ADULTS DURING THE DIFFICULT PANDEMIC SEASON.
PRAYER BREAKFASTS: IN FEBRUARY 2022, APPROXIMATELY 30 PEOPLE PARTICIPATED IN THE ANNUAL GOVERNOR PRAYER'S BREAKFAST. THIS ZOOM GATHERING WAS PRIMARILY FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS, AND THE KEYNOTE MESSAGE WAS RECORDED IN ADVANCE. IN APRIL 2022, APPROXIMATELY 420 PEOPLE PARTICIPATED IN THE 87TH ANNUAL KING COUNTY PRAYER BREAKFAST. THIS GATHERING WAS A LIVE EVENT ON ZOOM AND INCLUDED BREAKOUT ROOMS; SOME PEOPLE GATHERED SMALL GROUPS OF PEOPLE IN THEIR HOMES/CHURCHES AND PARTICIPATED IN A WATCH-PARTY FASHION SO THAT THERE WAS SOME IN-PERSON CONNECTION WHILE WATCHING THE EVENT LIVESTREAMED TOGETHER.
WASHINGTON STATE LEADERSHIP & SEATTLE LEADERSHIP FORUM: THESE GATHERINGS WERE NOT HELD DUE TO THE PANDEMIC. WE PLAN TO RESUME THEM IN A NEW FORMAT IN FALL 2022.NEW GENERATION (NOW CALLED THE SIMPLE GOSPEL): GATHERINGS WERE HELD ON ZOOM, WERE 1:1, AND A FEW SMALL GROUPS MET IN-PERSON. OVERALL, ACTIVITY DECREASED.
DISCIPLING WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP: THERE WERE NUMEROUS SMALL GROUPS WHO MET TOGETHER ALMOST WEEKLY AND ON ZOOM FOR THE BULK OF THE YEAR DUE TO THE PANDEMIC.
