MORE THAN 100,000 VISITORS COME FOR A THREE DAY FESTIVAL THAT INCLUDES 265 BOOTH ARTISTS, THREE STAGES OF MUSIC, A FINE ART SHOW, YOUTH ACTIVITIES AND MORE. THE ANACORTES ARTS FESTIVAL SUPPORTS LOCAL NON-PROFITS AND THE SCHOOL DISTRICT THROUGH A GRANT PROCESS TO YOUTH ART PROGRAMS, PUBLIC ART, ARTISTS AND OTHER LOCAL ART PROJECTS. IN 15 YEARS OF OUR GIVING BACK PROGRAM, THE FESTIVAL HAS DONATED MORE THAN $1 MILLION DOLLARS TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. THE FESTIVAL'S INVOLVEMENT IN ART PROGRAMS ALSO SUPPORTS THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT'S ABILITY TO PURCHASE PUBLIC ART.
THE ANACORTES ARTS FESTIVAL HOSTS A SERIES OF SPRING EVENTS THAT ARE A FUNDRAISER FOR ART IN ANACORTES SCHOOLS. EVERY YEAR, THERE ARE DIFFERENT EVENTS THAT HAVE INCLUDED CONCERTS, MINI-FESTIVALS, ART SHOWS AND A COLOR RUN. THROUGH THIS SERIES OF EVENTS, THE FESTIVAL FUNDS THINGS SUCH AS LOCAL ARTISTS IN SCHOOLS, FIELD TRIPS TO THE THEARTRE, MUSICAL PERFORMANCES IN SCHOOLS AND ART SUPPLIES.
