THE SEATTLE ARCHITECTURE FOUNDATION CONNECTS PEOPLE TO THE ARCHITECTURE, DESIGN AND HISTORY OF SEATTLE. WE PROVIDE ENTERTAINING WORKSHOPS, DYNAMIC TOURS, EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS AND ENTHUSIASTIC COMMUNITY ADVOCACY. THROUGH OUR PROGRAMS AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENTS, SAF WILL EMPOWER YOU TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR COMMUNITY.

TOURS: SAF OFFERED APPROXIMATELY 45 TOURS WITH 360 PEOPLE ATTENDING. IN A NORMAL YEAR WE RUN 150+ TOURS FOR 1500-2000 INDIVIDUALS. WE ALSO HAD 300 USERS TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ON THE GO TOURS VIA OUR MOBILE TOUR APP. SAF TOURS BUILD APPRECIATION FOR THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT AND SHARE SEATTLE'S RICH CULTURAL HISTORY.
YOUTH & FAMILY PROGRAMS: MORE THAN 195 YOUTH PARTICIPATED IN VIRTUAL AND IN PERSON PROGRAMMING THAT OFFERED HANDS ON LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH MODEL BUILDING WORKSHOPS. IN A NORMAL YEAR WE SERVE CLOSER TO 500 YOUTH THROUGH THESE IN-SCHOOL, SUMMER AND WEEKEND WORKSHOPS THAT INTRODUCE YOUTH FROM ALL BACKGROUNDS TO THE FIELD OF ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN. SCHOLARSHIPS ARE ALWAYS AVAILABLE TO ANYONE WHO IS UNABLE TO AFFORD THE COST OF PROGRAMMING.
EXHIBITS AND PUBLIC PROGRAMS: SAF OFFERS EXHIBITS AND OTHER PUBLIC PROGRAMMING, WHICH INCLUDES LECTURES BY SCHOLARS, EXHIBIT RELATED PANEL DISCUSSIONS AND OTHER TALKS ABOUT ARCHITECTURE, LANDSCAPE AND THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT. OUR GOAL IS TO OFFER A RANGE OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS TO HELP PEOPLE UNDERSTAND HOW THEY CAN GET INVOLVED IN SHAPING THE FUTURE OF THEIR CITY. IN 2021 WE HOSTED A VIRTUAL MODEL EXHIBIT AND ONLINE PROGRAMS WHICH REACHED AN AUDIENCE OF 1000 INDIVIDUALS.
