THE WWCC FOUNDATION SUPPORTS WALLA WALLA COMMUNITY COLLEGE STUDENTS, ITS ACADEMIC PROGRAMS, FACULTY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, AND STRATEGIC INITIATIVES OF THE COLLEGE. THE PRIMARY WORK OF THE FOUNDATION IS TO PROVIDE A NEED-BASED SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM AND EMERGENCY FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO WWCC STUDENTS. A TOTAL OF 524 HIGH-NEED STUDENTS RECEIVED SCHOLARSHIPS TOTALING OVER $600,000 IN 2021 AND 200 STUDENTS RECEIVED EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. THROUGH ITS WORK, THE FOUNDATION PROMOTES EQUITY, INCLUSION, AND ACCESS TO A COLLEGE EDUCATION, HELPS MAINTAIN CONNECTIONS BETWEEN THE COLLEGE AND THE COMMUNITY, AND SERVES AS THE FISCAL SPONSOR FOR THE WALLA WALLA VALLEY EARLY LEARNING COALITION.
