THE SOUTH SEATTLE COLLEGE FOUNDATION'S MISSION IS TO CHANGE LIVES BY PROVIDING STUDENTS WITH SCHOLARSHIPS SO THEY CAN PURSUE QUALITY ACADEMIC AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION. WE DO THIS THROUGH RELATIONSHIP BUILDING, FUNDRAISING AND STEWARDING RESOURCES.

STUDENT SUCCESS AND RETENTIONONE OF THE TOP PRIORITIES FOR SOUTH SEATTLE COLLEGE FOUNDATION IS TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR THE COLLEGE TO ENCOURAGE STUDENT SUCCESS, RETENTION, COMPLETION AND ACADEMIC TRANSFER. DURING 2021, THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED SCHOLARSHIPS AND OTHER SUPPORT TO 323 UNIQUE STUDENTS.
STRATEGIC SUPPORT FOR COLLEGE PROGRAMSSOUTH SEATTLE COLLEGE FOUNDATION RAISES FUNDS AND RECEIVES CONTRIBUTIONS FOR SPECIFIC COLLEGE PROGRAMS AND PROVIDES ASSISTANCE WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW COLLEGE INITIATIVES. IN 2021, THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED SUPPORT FOR VARIOUS PROGRAMS INLCUDING SUSTAINABLE BUILDING SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY. IN ADDITION, THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED FUNDS FOR INSTRUCTIONAL EQUIPMENT FOR THE CULINARY PROGRAM.
COLLEGE SUPPORT AND COMMUNITY RELATIONSSOUTH SEATTLE COLLEGE FOUNDATION ASSISTS THE COLLEGE WITH BUILDING COMMUNITY RELATIONSHIPS AND AWARENESS AS WELL AS IMPROVING INFRASTRUCTURE AND FACULTY SKILLS. IN 2021 THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED FUNDING FOR COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND STAFF SKILLS IMPROVEMENT. THE FOUNDATION ALSO PROVIDED FUNDING FOR FACULTY TO DEVELOP NEW CURRICULA, STAFF TO ATTEND COLLEGE EVENTS AND SUPPORTED FACULTY AND STAFF ATTENDANCE AT PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCES.
