HOSPICE SERVICES: HOSPICE OF KITSAP COUNTY PROVIDED INTENSIVE TREATMENT OF PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL PAIN AND SYMPTOMS. THIS PALLIATIVE CARE FOCUSED ON ENHANCING A PATIENT'S COMFORT AND OVERALL QUALITY OF LIFE AND WAS PROVIDED IN THE PATIENT'S HOME, A NURSING HOME, ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY, OR WHEREVER THE PATIENT RESIDED. HOSPICE OF KITSAP COUNTY SERVICES WERE AVAILABLE 24 HOURS A DAY, SEVEN DAYS A WEEK. IN JANUARY 2016, WE SERVED 79 PATIENTS AND THEN TRANSFERRED THOSE REMAINING ACTIVE PATIENTS TO MULTICARE HEALTH SYSTEM HOSPICE.PALLIATIVE CARE: A SERVICE WE PROVIDED TO HOMEBOUND PATIENTS THAT HAVE CHRONIC DISEASE, WHICH ALLOWED THEM TO RECEIVE PAIN-RELATED MEDICAL CARE IN THEIR HOME. OUR MEDICAL DIRECTORS AND ARNPS VISITED PATIENTS AND MANAGED THEIR CARE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE ATTENDING PHYSICIAN. IN JANUARY 2016, WE ENDED THIS SERVICE.
