CONNECTING FAMILIES: THIS PROGRAM OFFERS SUPPORT AND TRAINING THROUGH A VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES AND WORKSHOPS BOTH FUN AND EDUCATIONAL. PARENT TO PARENT, SIBSHOPS, MOTHERS AND FATHERS NETWORKS, AS WELL AS MANY OTHER OPPORTUNITIES ARE OFFERED. ITS INTENTION IS TO GIVE ALL MEMBERS OF THE FAMILY THE TOOLS NECESSARY TO BE A HEALTHY HAPPY FAMILY UNIT RAISING A LOVED ONE WITH A DISABILITY. ALL MEMBERS OF THE FAMILY ARE SUPPORTED INCLUDING SIBLINGS. APPROXIMATE NUMBER SERVED: 3500.
LEADERSHIP AND EDUCATION: THE ARC IDENTIFIES FAMILY MEMBERS, SIBLINGS, GUARDIANS AND SELF-ADVOCATES WHO ARE INTERESTED IN OR WANT TO ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN A LEADERSHIP ROLE REPRESENTING INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES.
