MANUFACTURING:THE MANUFACTURING TRAINING PROGRAM PROVIDES PAID ON-THE-JOB TRAINING TO PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS TO PRODUCE AEROSPACE AND DEFENSE PRODUCTS. PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE MENTORING, SKILLS TRAINING, VOCATIONAL ASSESSMENTS OF SKILLS AND ABILITIES, AND JOB PLACEMENT SERVICES INTO COMPETITIVE EMPLOYMENT IN THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITY. PARTICIPANTS ARE REFERRED BY THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL & HEALTH SERVICES DIVISION OF VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION AND OTHER COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS.VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION, WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF SERVICES FOR THE BLIND, LABOR AND INDUSTRIES, VETERANS ADMINISTRATION, AEROSPACE JOINT APPRENTICESHIP COMMITTEE, KING COUNTY EMPLOYMENT AND COMMUNITY NON-PROFIT PROGRAMS. IN 2021, ORION EMPLOYED 135 IN OUR PAID MANUFACTURING TRAINING, JANITORIAL TRAINING AND PLACEMENT PROGRAMS. THIS PROGRAM PLACED AND SUPPORTED 87 INDIVIDUALS INTO COMPETITIVE JOBS IN THE COMMUNITY. PROGRAM RESULTS WERE REDUCED FROM PRIOR YEARS DUE TO COVID.
