SCOUTING BUILDS CHARACTER, LEADERSHIP, FITNESS, CITIZENSHIP AND LIFE SKILLS IN MORE THAN 8,700 YOUTH LED BY MORE THAN 4,000 VOLUNTEER LEADERS. VOLUNTEERS ARE SUPPORTED BY 15 FULL-TIME AND 3 PART-TIME STAFF MEMBERS. THE COUNCIL PROVIDES A SCOUT STORE AND VOLUNTEER RESOURCE CENTER IN SPOKANE, WASHINGTON, CLARKSTON, WASHINGTON AND HAYDEN, IDAHO. THE COUNCIL OPERATES TWO BOY SCOUT SUMMER CAMP PROGRAMS AT CAMP EASTON ON LAKE COEUR D'ALENE AND AT CAMP GRIZZLY ON THE PALOUSE RIVER, PLUS A CUB SCOUT CAMP CALLED CUB COUNTRY AT COWLES SCOUT RESERVATION ON DIAMOND LAKE. THE COUNCIL ALSO OPERATES THE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT CENTER FOR YOUTH AND ADULTS AT COWLES SCOUT RESERVATION.
