OUR MISSION AT OC RIPTIDE AQUATICS IS TO PROVIDE YOUNG ATHLETES A SWIMMING AND WATER POLO PROGRAM THAT WILL INSPIRE THEM TO ACHIEVE THEIR HIGHEST POTENTIAL IN AND OUT OF THE POOL.

SWIMMING-IN THE SWIM PROGRAM SWIMMERS ARE GIVEN INSTRUCTION, PRACTICE TIME, AND COMPETE IN SWIM MEETS. WE REACH OUT TO THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA AND FOUNTAIN VALLEY CA, INCLUDING HIGH SCHOOL AQUATICS PROGRAMS AND SUMMER LEAGUE TEAMS FOR MEMBERS. WE ALSO RECEIVE MEMBERS BY WAY OF REFERRALS AND OUR WEB SITE. THERE ARE ABOUT 120 SWIMMERS IN THE PROGRAM. WE PRACTICE YEAR ROUND, 6 DAYS PER WEEK AVERAGING 1.5 HOURS PER DAY. THE SWIMMERS COMPETE IN AN AVERAGE OF 2 USA SWIM MEETS PER MONTH YEAR ROUND. THE AGES OF THE SWIMMERS ARE 7-18 YEARS OLD.
WATER POLO-IN THE WATER POLO PROGRAM PLAYERS ARE GIVEN INSTRUCTION, PRACTICE TIME, AND COMPETE IN TOURNAMENTS. WE REACH OUT TO THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA AND FOUNTAIN VALLEY CA, INCLUDING MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL AQUATICS PROGRAMS FOR MEMBERS. WE ALSO RECEIVE MEMBERS FROM REFERRALS, FLYERS AND OUR WEB SITE. THERE ARE ABOUT 45 POLO PLAYERS IN THE PROGRAM. WE PRACTICE YEAR ROUND, 5 DAYS PER WEEK AVERAGING ABOUT 2 HOURS PER DAY.
