THE GOAL OF THE FOUNDATION IS TO ADVANCE SOLUTIONS, PUBLIC CIVIC EDUCATION AND UNDERSTANDING ABOUT TECHNOLOGY, NEWS AND INFORMATION, AND CIVIC AFFAIRS LOCALLY, NATIONALLY, AND GLOBALLY. THE FOUNDATION WILL BE FOSTERING THE COLLECTION OF OBJECTIVE DATA, ANALYSIS, AND RESEARCH NEEDED TO UNDERSTAND THE EFFECTS OF PLATFORM STANDARDS AND THE WAY THE PUBLIC IS EFFICIENTLY SERVED INFORMATION THROUGH MULTIPLE, INDEPENDENT SOURCES AROUND THE NATION AND GLOBALLY. THE FOUNDATION WILL CONVENE EMINENT LEADERS IN JOURNALISM, TECHNOLOGY, ACADEMIA, PUBLIC AFFAIRS, AND BUSINESS TO BETTER UNDERSTAND AND EVALUATE:- QUANTITATIVE AND QUALITATIVE STUDIES INTO HOW CONSUMERS RECEIVE, DISTRIBUTE, ENGAGE WITH AND TRANSMIT THEIR INFORMATION.- RESEARCH INTO WHAT STANDARDS / CONTROLS COUNTRIES / COMPANIES / MEDIA OUTLETS PUT IN.
