ACT FOR NIH FOUNDATION, INC IS COMMITTED TO ADVANCING LIFE-SAVING BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH IN THE UNITED STATES BY EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH UNDERTAKEN BY THE NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH(NIH). THE FOUNDATION ADVOCATES FOR RESEARCH INTO DISEASES AND MEDICAL CONDITIONS IN ORDER TO SAVE LIVES, AND REDUCE ILLNESS AND DISABILITY. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, THE FOUNDATION REGULARLY PARTICIPATES IN MEETINGS OF VARIOUS COALITIONS AND WORKING GROUPS ADVOCATING FOR FUNDING OF BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH. THE PRESIDENT OF THE FOUNDATION SPEAKS AT CONFERENCES AND TOWN HALL MEETINGS, AND EDUCATES INTERESTED PARTIES ON THE IMPACT OF BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH THROUGH EDUCATIONAL BRIEFINGS AND SYMPOSIA.
