KENNETT AREA TRAILS ALLIANCE PROVIDES ORGANIZATION STABILITY AND MOMENTUM FOR COMPLETING A 14 MILE LOOP TRAIL THAT WILL CONNECT MULTIPLE MUNICIPALITIES THAT WILL ENABLE PEOPLE TO SAFELY BIKE OR WALK IN OUR COMMUNITY, INCLUDING TO SCHOOLS, GROCERY STORES, RESTAURANTS, AND WORKPLACES. THE TRAIL LOOP WOULD BE DESIGNED TO MEET ACCESSIBILITY STANDARDS SO THAT EVERYONE, REGARDLESS OF INCOME, AGE, OR MOBILITY WILL HAVE THE FREEDOM TO ACCESS NATURE AND COMMUNITY AMENITIES.
RED CLAY PARK IS ALIGNED WITH KENNETT AREA TRAILS ALLIANCE MISSION OF DEVELOPING PLACES AND SPACES THAT MAKE THE LIVES OF KENNETT RESIDENTS GREAT. IT IS ONE OF THE TRAILHEADS FOR THE KENNETT GREENWAY, WHICH RUNS THROUGH RED CLAY PARK WHEN IT TRAVERSES KENNETT BOROUGH. RED CLAY PARK WILL BE A CRITICAL AMENITY FOR USERS OF THE GREENWAY. IN ADDITION, THE PROJECT RESTORES THE EAST BRANCH OF THE RED CLAY CREEK, WHICH IS CONSISTENT WITH KENNETT AREA TRAILS ALLIANCE'S MISSION OF IMPROVING THE ENVIRONMENT THROUGH WHICH THE TRAIL TRAVELS.
