Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
THE CLARK FOUNDATION RUNS A SUMMER DAY CAMP IN THE EASTERN SIERRA NEVADA OF CALIFORNIA. CAMPERS RECEIVE A FUN AND EXPERIENCE-BASED INTRODUCTION TO THE UNIQUE HISTORY AND ECOLOGY OF THE AREA. IN 2023, WE INCREASED THE NUMBERS OF CAMPERS WE WERE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE BY 43% AND INTRODUCED A NEW "JUNIOR INSTRUCTOR"
POSITION AT CAMP TO EXTEND OUR REACH TO A DIFFERENT AGE GROUP. DURING THE CAMP, WE VISITED EIGHT DIFFERENT LOCATIONS IN INYO COUNTY, PARTNERED WITH TWO OTHER NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND WELCOMED FIVE GUEST SPEAKERS FROM THE COMMUNITY. THE CAMPERS WERE RECRUITED ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVE BASIS AND ATTEND CAMP
FOR FREE, INCLUDING RECEIVING ALL SUPPLIES, TRAVEL, AND FOOD. AT THE END OF THE CAMP, WE HELD A CELEBRATION OF LEARNING FOR OUR CAMPERS TO SHARE WHAT THEY HAD LEARNED. WE WELCOMED TWO ADDITIONAL PRESENTERS FROM THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AND HAD APPROXIMATELY SEVENTY-FIVE ATTENDEES.
